Contract intelligence platform Avokaado introduces Avo – a governed artificial intelligence that restores control and accountability in legal automation. Instead of generating text and leaving it to lawyers to review, Avo’s AI agents apply company rules and playbooks directly at every lifecycle stage from drafting to analytics, producing contracts that are verified, scored, and auditable. The waitlist opens today ahead of the global release in early 2026.

A recent white paper by the World Commerce and Contracting Association found that companies lose 9 percent of revenue to poor contracting, with data scattered across an average of 24 systems. Meanwhile, according to the Law360 Pulse AI survey, over 80 percent of lawyers cite hallucinations – when an AI model presents inaccurate information – and lack of explainability as key barriers to adopting AI in legal work.

Legal teams face increasing pressure to deliver results more quickly with fewer resources. Today’s legal AI tools promise speed but create new risks. Most rely on generative models that produce unverified clauses, hallucinated content, and inconsistent reasoning. Each AI decision must be reviewed manually to avoid errors, which cancels out the efficiency gains.

Traditional rule-based automation delivers precision, but it doesn’t scale and demands heavy manual setup. AI, on the other hand, is powerful but fundamentally probabilistic – it can generate text, yet it can’t explain why or how it made a decision. That’s the black-box problem. Avo solves this problem by combining the speed of automation with verifiable governance, providing enterprises with a safe pathway to scale AI without losing control.

“Legal teams don’t need faster text generators; they need systems they can trust. Avo brings automation that finally meets the standards lawyers work to while moving at the speed their businesses now demand,” said Mariana Hagström, CEO and co-founder of Avokaado, with a decade of experience in legal practice.

“Without a fixed structure or stable context, verifying AI output often takes as long as – or longer than – creating the draft itself. The real bottleneck isn’t generation; it’s validation. Avo closes this gap. Our deep experience in mapping and standardizing complex real-world legal workflows enables us to build truly AI-native agents. Avo adds the deterministic layer that legal AI has been missing, combining the speed, natural interface, and adaptability that users value in AI with the rules, controls, and auditability that legacy Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems promised but often failed to deliver.”

At the core of Avo is the 5D Engine™, a proprietary architecture that turns each contract type – such as an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) or MSA (Master Service Agreement) – into a governed AI agent in 24 hours, not months. Every decision the AI makes is validated through the 5D Engine™ and recorded in a Scorecard that shows what was done, why, and whether it met policy.

Avokaado’s technology combines five layers of intelligence: deal context, document map, data model, decision rules, and dialogue strategy. Together, they ensure the AI understands what the contract is about, how it should behave, and when to escalate. Each action is explainable, policy-bound, and fully traceable for audit and compliance.

Avo is available for early registration starting today. The first 100 signups will receive free early access to pilot Avo with their own contracts. Legal, operations, and compliance leaders can join the waitlist atavokaado.io/avo. Global rollout is planned for the first quarter of 2026.
