Linklaters has appointed Maria Zaino as Americas Chief Operating Officer, hiring from A&O Shearman as it continues to scale its US platform.
Zaino will be based in New York, working with George Casey, Chairman of the Americas, and Tom McGrath, Americas Managing Partner, to support execution of the firm’s US strategy. She succeeds Michael Brock, who is retiring.
The hire comes as Linklaters expands its New York office by more than 50%, taking its footprint to over 150,000 square feet. The firm reported Americas revenues up 27% to £189 million in its most recent financial year.
