Awesome Compliance Technology announced its €1.2 million pre-seed round led by Horizon Flevoland alongside several prominent legal-tech angel investors. They’ve launched a collaborative AI platform designed specifically for compliance professionals, such as lawyers, legal consultants, and in-house legal teams, who guide organisations through GDPR, the EU AI Act, and the Data Act, with many other regulations on the horizon.
“We built Awesome for the people actually doing the work: privacy & AI lawyers, compliance consultants, DPO’s and in-house legal teams,” says Marianne de Feijter, co-founder and CEO. “Our platform enables them to take on more clients without increasing their workload while adding a new revenue stream.”
CTO Roel Wessels explains, “Compliance work is nuanced. It requires context, precision, and judgment. Our platform brings those elements together with a shared understanding between compliance experts and AI.”
With this €1.2 million round, ACT will expand its engineering and legal operations teams to meet demand from law firms, privacy consultancies, and in-house compliance departments throughout Europe. The company plans a wider European rollout in 2026.
