Doctrine has acquired Maite.AI, a Spanish legal AI platform, marking its fifth acquisition in three years and its official entry into the Spanish market. The company said the deal takes its customer base to 27,000 across France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Luxembourg.
Founded in 2024, Maite.AI provides a Spanish language AI co-pilot designed to support legal workflows. Doctrine said Maite.AI grew ARR 20x in 2025, now serves 2,000+ customers, and achieved a 99% success rate on Spain’s judiciary access exam.
Following the acquisition, Doctrine said Maite.AI will continue to lead the Spanish market with additional hiring planned, while retaining its brand, headquarters in Spain and current team.
Guillaume Carrère, CEO of Doctrine, said: “As the global AI market rapidly takes shape, our ambitions continue to focus on building a trusted European leader grounded in technological sovereignty.”
