HFW has appointed Ashleigh Ovland as its first Head of Legal Technology Adoption, a newly created role reflecting the firm’s increasing focus on AI and legal technology across its international network.
Ovland will work with lawyers and business services teams to embed AI and legal tech into day-to-day practice and help maximise return on the firm’s technology investments, working closely with John Court, Chief Technology Officer, and the firm’s AI Committee.
Giles Kavanagh, Global Senior Partner, and Jeremy Shebson, Managing Partner, HFW, said: “Technology and AI are increasingly important to how we deliver value to clients… This new role underlines our focus on embedding technology into day-to-day practice across the firm, supporting our lawyers and ensuring we achieve real returns from our legal technology investments.”
