Rotheras Solicitors LLP, based in Nottingham, and Bray & Bray Solicitors, based in Leicester, have merged to establish Rothera Bray LLP. This merger involves all the existing partners and staff from both Bray & Bray and Rotheras Solicitors, coming together to create a 200-member team with 27 partners. Additionally, all clients from both firms will now be served by the newly formed LLP.

Christina Yardley, the CEO of Rotheras Solicitors, stated, “Rothera Bray is the union of two thriving firms uniting under a shared commitment to a people-focused approach, making us the firm where everyone can flourish. In addition to broadening our geographical presence and expanding the range of expertise available to clients, we take pride in achieving a position among the top 200 UK law firms by revenue for the first time.”

Tim Gladdle, the Senior Partner at Bray & Bray, added, “This merger offers us an excellent opportunity to enhance the expertise within our teams while growing and enhancing our services for clients throughout the East Midlands and nationally. Both of our firms have a rich history in Leicester, Nottingham, and Derby, and we share a common goal of serving our clients with integrity and excellence. We anticipate aligning our approaches and values through this merger, which will bolster our market offerings and benefit from new technologies to streamline processes and infrastructure, enhancing the overall client experience.”

Both firms have previously collaborated with Ortus Group, with Bray & Bray having a longstanding relationship with them, and Ortus recently representing JH Powell in Derby during its sale to Rotheras. Colin White, the founder and managing director of Ortus Group, expressed, “Having known Bray & Bray for a significant period and more recently becoming acquainted with Rotheras, I recognized that these two firms share such strong cultural alignment that I had to explore the possibility of introducing them to each other. Their complementary strengths, combined with their ambitious goals, gave me confidence that they would achieve more together than separately, and I am thrilled to have played a role in bringing this new firm into existence.”
