Spellbook has signed a two-year partnership with the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), becoming the CBA’s exclusive provider of AI-powered contract drafting and review tools for its network of around 40,000 legal professionals.
Under the partnership, CBA members will receive preferred access to Spellbook’s Microsoft Word-based platform and 20% off annual licences, including tools such as Compare to Market for benchmarking key terms against market data.
Bianca Kratt, K.C., President of the Canadian Bar Association, highlighted security and privacy protections, including that member data will be stored in Canada and not used to train AI models.
Scott Stevenson, CEO and Co-Founder of Spellbook, said: “We’re proud to support CBA members as they navigate AI with the confidence, standards, and judgement the legal profession demands.”
