August has launched August Products, which lets law firms turn their legal services into products and sell them to clients under their own brand.
August’s AI agents carry out the work using the firm’s playbooks and templates, and the firm chooses which outputs a lawyer must approve before they reach the client. For each product, the firm sets who it is for, what the client must provide and what it costs. When a lawyer corrects an agent’s work, August can save the correction as a skill for the agents to reuse on later matters.
Because clients pay a price set in advance, the firm keeps the savings when the agents finish the work faster. Australian firm Hicksons already delivers some of its work as fixed-price services on August.
“Law firms can now earn recurring revenue from their expertise, the way software companies do from their products,” said Riyaan Bakhda, a founding engineer at August who built August Products.
