Lawhive has opened a New York office and unveiled plans to acquire US law firms across consumer practice areas, as it looks to scale its AI-powered legal services model across both the UK and US.
The move follows the company’s recent $60m fundraise and builds on its existing presence in Arizona, where it operates an ABS working with more than 150 lawyers. Lawhive said it is targeting firms in family law, immigration, real estate, civil litigation and intellectual property.
James Peters, Managing Director of Lawhive US, said: “Lawhive’s model allows those practices to benefit from shared infrastructure, capital investment and technology while continuing to deliver the legal expertise their clients rely on.”
