Following its recent $60m fundraise, Lawhive is pushing further into the US with a new office in New York and plans to acquire law firms across a range of consumer practice areas. The company already has a foothold in Arizona, where it operates an ABS with more than 150 lawyers.
Lawhive said it is targeting firms in family law, immigration, real estate, civil litigation and intellectual property, as it builds out its AI-enabled legal services model across both the UK and US.
James Peters, Managing Director of Lawhive US, said: “Lawhive’s model allows those practices to benefit from shared infrastructure, capital investment and technology while continuing to deliver the legal expertise their clients rely on.”
