PointOne has raised a $16m Series A led by 8VC, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Y Combinator and existing investors, bringing total funding to $20m.

Founded three years ago, PointOne develops AI software that automatically captures billable time for lawyers, alongside tools for bill review, compliance and pricing. The company said its platform aims to address longstanding challenges in how law firms record and use time data.

PointOne said it will use the funding to expand its platform and continue building in collaboration with customers. The company is now used by more than 100 law firms, with revenue growing 10x in the last eight months.
