Legora has acquired Walter AI, a Canadian agent-native legal AI company used by firms including Fasken Martineau and McCarthy Tétrault, as it looks to advance its vision for a fully integrated agentic AI platform for lawyers and expand its presence in Canada.
Walter AI developed its platform through a joint innovation programme with the two firms, embedding engineers directly with lawyers to build AI agents capable of handling complex legal workflows across systems including iManage and Outlook.
Max Junestrand, CEO and Co-Founder of Legora, said: “Bringing our teams together allows us to scale that vision faster.”
