Legora has acquired Walter AI, a Canadian agent-native legal AI company, as it looks to expand its presence in Canada and strengthen its vision for an agentic AI platform capable of supporting end-to-end legal workflows. Max Junestrand, CEO and Co-Founder of Legora, commented: “Bringing our teams together allows us to scale that vision faster.”
Walter AI developed its product through a joint innovation programme with law firms Fasken Martineau and McCarthy Tétrault, embedding engineers directly alongside lawyers to build AI agents for complex legal workflows across systems including iManage and Outlook.
