Legal professionals face unreliable outputs from AI tools, a lack of traceability to sources, and risks to secrecy when handling client data. Ex Nunc Intelligence solves this by building Silex, a new category of legal intelligence platform focused on reliability, traceability, and confidentiality.
The company just closed an oversubscribed $2.15 million pre-seed round, led by Spicehaus Partners and including participation from Bloomhaus Ventures, Active Capital, Aperture Capital, Core Angels, and other angel investors. Ex Nunc Intelligence was founded by Kyriaki Bongard, Zoé Berry, and Thomas Sèze to deliver trustworthy legal intelligence as the foundational infrastructure layer where professionals search, reason, draft, and manage knowledge.
They started the company to address AI’s core flaws in law: untrustworthy results and confidentiality risks. Native to both law and AI, Ex Nunc fills this gap, built on the founders’ expertise to deliver secure, professional-grade intelligence.
“Our ambition is not to build another legal tool, but to create the underlying infrastructure that will power the next era of legal intelligence. Legal professionals need systems they can trust. That is what we are building,” said Kyriaki Bongard, co-founder and CEO.
