Legora, which describes itself as an agentic operating system for legal professionals, has partnered with Blue J to bring Blue J’s AI-powered tax research into its platform. Eligible customers can query Blue J in Legora and receive answers with inline citations linking back to Blue J sources.
The integration is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), with Blue J carrying out the research on its own infrastructure. Users need subscriptions to both products and must sign in with their own accounts. The citations allow lawyers to verify the reasoning before using it in advice or client deliverables.
Shared customers asked for the integration. Blue J, which is built specifically for tax research, is used by more than 6,000 organisations globally. Early access will open first to selected eligible joint customers, with general availability planned for November.
“Tax questions come up in every kind of matter, and the people answering them shouldn’t have to leave their work to develop a defensible answer,” said Benjamin Alarie, CEO and co-founder of Blue J.
