Twin1 AI has launched from stealth alongside a $20 million seed funding round, co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners, Tribeca Venture Partners and Aramco Ventures.
Founded in 2025 by Dr Lewis Z. Liu, Tom Cahn, Huiting Liu and Dr Jonathan Budd, the company is developing AI-powered digital twins for professional knowledge workers, using context from emails, meetings, documents and workplace systems while keeping information access under user control.
Twin1 AI has already been deployed across legal, financial services and energy for more than a year, with customers including Linklaters, Orrick, Dechert, Customers Bank and Aegis Energy. The funding will support further product development, go-to-market activity and expansion of its teams in San Mateo and London.
Dr Lewis Liu, Co-Founder and CEO of Twin1 AI, said: “Our belief is that AI should work for people, not be done to them. Twin1 gives every professional a digital twin that preserves and amplifies their knowledge, judgment and voice, while keeping privacy, permissions, and human agency at the core.”
