FTI Consulting has appointed Mark Wasserman, former CEO of Eversheds Sutherland, as a Senior Managing Director advising law firms, corporate legal departments, boards and senior executives.
Wasserman joins from Eversheds Sutherland, where he most recently served as CEO Emeritus. He joined the firm in 1987, became Managing Partner in 2005, a role he held for 20 years, and served as Global Co-CEO following the firm’s combination in 2017.
At FTI Consulting, he will work with experts across the firm’s business segments and help connect clients with multidisciplinary teams on high-stakes matters. FTI Consulting says the appointment comes as legal organisations face converging legal, regulatory, financial and reputational pressures, including from AI.
“Law firms and professionals are moving from asking whether to use AI to asking how to use it well,” said Wasserman.
