Datasite has partnered with Emma Legal to connect its live data rooms directly to Emma Legal’s AI workspace for legal due diligence.

The integration keeps the data room’s folder structure and access controls in place and synchronises Emma Legal’s workspace with the live document set, so legal teams do not need to download and re-upload files. Users can classify documents against the due diligence request list, identify missing documents, assess contractual provisions against the firm’s own standards and prepare source-linked findings. Lawyers review and approve findings, with a full audit trail.

Datasite says the partnership is part of its strategy of connecting transaction data with the AI applications used by M&A, legal, advisory and investment professionals.

“In complex transactions, the last thing lawyers want is to worry about downloading and uploading files. They need to understand the risks, verify the evidence and advise their clients with confidence,” said Rick van Esch, CEO and Co-founder at Emma Legal.
