Saga has announced Saga External, which lets legal teams build their own automated legal services and make them available directly to the people they serve. The product is being developed with customers, and Saga has not said when it will be generally available.
For law firms, Saga says this means turning their playbooks and positions into services clients can use whenever they need them, such as a contract checker built on the firm’s own playbook or a compliance review. The firm builds and owns the service and puts its name on it, while Saga powers it.
In-house teams can do the same for colleagues in sales, procurement, HR, compliance and management, with services such as a first contract review and legal stepping in where needed.
Saga says lawyers set the premises, define what good output looks like and decide when to be involved, while its agentic workflows handle the repetitive structuring and checking. Teams can build alone or with Saga Lab’s legal engineers.
