8am has introduced new capabilities for 8am IQ, including Discovery Assistant and enhanced Case Assistant features designed to help legal professionals access and analyse case information more efficiently.
The company said the updates address a common challenge for legal teams, with key information often buried in communications, financial records and scanned documents. Discovery Assistant brings image-to-text OCR directly into 8am MyCase, automatically converting scanned files and image-based documents into searchable text.
The enhanced Case Assistant can draw insights from documents, communications and, soon, financial records, allowing users to ask questions about a matter and quickly surface relevant information. A new prompt library has also been introduced to help legal teams generate more consistent responses and workflows.
