Ordalie, a French legaltech specializing in artificial intelligence applied to law, announces a 1.8 million euros fundraising round to accelerate the development of its autonomous legal assistant, conceived as a true legal operating system (Legal OS). This funding round brings together SGPA, members of the Dassault family, Lumiere AI, Seeder Funds and Inovexus.

Ordalie’s technology, based on agentic AI, automates repetitive tasks, simplifies contract processing, makes legal content reliable and allows jurists to become true performance drivers for the company. Founded in 2023 by Léa Fleury and Baudouin Arbarétier, the start-up today supports more than 170 clients, including TotalEnergies, Ifop and RadioFrance, representing more than 41,000 users.

“Law should not be automated blindly. Our technology must rely on a fine understanding of legal issues to strengthen them, not oversimplify them. This fundraising gives us the means to go further in the development of a sovereign infrastructure and capable of realigning legal issues with business interests.” – Léa Fleury, co-founder and CEO of Ordalie

A fundraising round supported by influential actors and pioneers of AI to structure, accelerate, establish a European alternative

This funding round brings together strategic investors from law, tech and finance, all driven by the same conviction: the emergence of a more powerful and more readable law. Marguerite Longuet-Dassault and Adrien Dassault affirm their support. Alongside them, SGPA leads the round, followed by Lumière AI and Seeder Funds. Inovexus and Side Angels complete this circle of committed actors.

This financing marks a decisive step in Ordalie’s development. The LegalTech plans to strengthen its tech, product and business teams, to perfect the precision of its proprietary AI models, and to deploy its solution on a European scale.

“Investing in Ordalie means betting on a sovereign AI that combines transparency, data control and legal precision. It is also betting on a new way of integrating law into the company: no longer as a brake or an isolated obligation, but as a daily tool for decision-making, clarity and speed.” – Marguerite Longuet-Dassault, lawyer, investor and member of Ordalie’s board.

Ordalie: towards the emergence of a benchmark European LegalTech

While the United States largely dominates the legal AI market, Ordalie offers an approach compliant with European requirements, integrating security, traceability and transparency standards.

With this fundraising, Ordalie accelerates its deployment and affirms its ambition: to equip jurists with sovereign AI to transform law into a competitive advantage. To support this new growth phase, Ordalie is surrounding itself with strategic profiles: a machine learning engineer formerly with Apple joins the team to lead the AI architecture. He is joined by the former Head of Compliance at Natixis, in charge of co-developing the product and accelerating development in Europe.
