BARBRI has acquired Lega, the AI learning platform focused on helping law students, lawyers and law firms build practical AI skills through hands-on learning experiences.
Founded in 2023, Lega has delivered AI workshops, innovation programmes and generative AI labs for law firms, legal teams and educational institutions. The company is also known to the LegalTech community as the winner of the LegalTech LaunchPad startup competition at LegalTechTalk 2025.
BARBRI said the acquisition strengthens its AI and professional skills offering, combining its legal education portfolio with Lega’s experiential approach to AI learning. The companies plan to expand workshops, simulations, hackathons and lab-style programmes designed to help legal professionals develop AI fluency and readiness.
Christian Lang, Founder and CEO of Lega, said: “Success isn’t about finding the right AI tool. It’s about building the fluency, judgment, and confidence to use AI effectively.”
As part of the transaction, Lang will join BARBRI as Head of Innovation, leading AI skills development and readiness strategy. Financial terms were not disclosed.
