Spellbook has announced that Jean-Michel Lemieux, former CTO of Shopify and Atlassian, has joined the company in a newly created role as Executive Individual Contributor (EIC).
The AI contract platform said the position is designed for AI-native companies, with Lemieux working across product, engineering, go-to-market and internal operations to help accelerate execution and decision-making across the business.
Lemieux has previously helped scale Shopify and Atlassian through periods of rapid growth and has been an investor and advisor to Spellbook over the past year. During that time, Spellbook was recognised as Canada’s fastest-growing company through the Rocketship Award.
